Dude Perfect

Dude Perfect is an American sports and comedy YouTube channel founded in 2009 in College Station, Texas. Its five members, Tyler Toney, Garrett Hilbert, Cody Jones and twins Coby and Cory Cotton, met as roommates at Texas A&M University.

The group uploaded its first video on April 8, 2009, showing basketball trick shots filmed in a backyard. For every 100,000 views that video reached, the members promised to sponsor a child through the Christian charity Compassion International. In 2010, a costumed Panda character joined the group, appearing at college basketball games and in comedy sketches. Trick shots stayed at the center of the channel, and in 2016 the group set several Guinness World Records for long basketball shots.

The TV network CMT premiered The Dude Perfect Show on April 14, 2016, a series following the group as they planned and built stunts in their workshop. The show moved to Nickelodeon for its second season on July 16, 2017. In 2019, Dude Perfect went on its first live tour, Pound It, Noggin, playing arenas across North America. YouTube Originals released the documentary Backstage Pass in 2020, which followed the preparations for that tour and its shows.

The group won the Streamy Award for Best Sports Series in 2015, a year after its first nomination in that category. In February 2023, Dude Perfect received an investment of more than $100 million from the firm Highmount Capital. In 2024, it won a Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Experience, and in October of that year, former NBA executive Andrew Yaffe became its chief executive.
