Podpah

Podpah is a Brazilian video podcast hosted by Igão and Mítico that began in September 2020 on YouTube. The podcast originated in São Paulo and features unscripted conversations with musicians, athletes, actors, and public figures.

The channel started in September 2020 using the recording facilities of Estúdios Flow before establishing an independent studio in São Paulo. Live episodes stream on YouTube, where full videos play before being cut into shorter clips for separate viewing. Episodes run without fixed time limits, allowing conversations to develop through informal dialogue between the hosts and their guests. Studio discussions focus on street culture, urban music, and personal background stories. In 2022, the channel expanded its video distribution by partnering with Spotify to share video episodes directly on the streaming platform.

An interview with politician Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in December 2021 drew over 2 million concurrent live viewers on YouTube. Musician Mano Brown joined the hosts in 2021 for a long session detailing his career in Brazilian hip-hop. In 2021, the show won the Podcast category at the MTV MIAW awards in Brazil. The podcast also received the Prêmio iBest award for best podcast in 2021 and 2022. By 2022, the YouTube channel passed 5 million subscribers and 1 billion total views across its catalog of video uploads.

In 2022, the channel launched the comedic cooking show Rango Brabo, hosted by Diogo Defante as a weekly food segment. The channel also introduced Carona Podpah, taking conversations outside the studio to record interviews inside a passenger car. The channel moved into a new headquarters in São Paulo in 2023 to house additional shows. Live remote coverage began in 2023 with on-site videos of the Salvador Carnival and municipal street running races. In March 2023, the channel streamed live exhibition soccer matches from the Pacaembu stadium in São Paulo.
